Green Link Club

Vision: Green conscience in everyone

Mission:

  • To promote appreciation of our natural world;
  • To develop consciousness, knowledge and conviction about the need for environmental conservation;
  • To nurture competent leaders who will take the lead in various areas of their lives outside of Green Link Club through using the skills learnt here and
  • To nurture compassionate people who will look for avenues to serve the community

Hello! NJC Green Link Club members love nature and want to help others see the beauty in nature and to protect this beauty by participating in conservation efforts. We develop our knowledge of the physical environment, environment conservation and skills in the project planning and implementation of initiatives. This will enable us to become green ambassadors in our corner of the world, encouraging others to exercise their green conscience. As an all-embracing club, we also welcome volunteers who have interest in specific sub-areas of nature and conservation.

We enjoy many avenues of personal development and enrichment and through our participation in these events and programmes, we are able to cultivate pockets of green community within and beyond College.

For our efforts and contribution to keeping our College and community green, we have been awarded the Sustained Lotus Award by Singapore Environment Council since 2006 and we have also been awarded Bronze and Silver for participating in the Recycling Outreach Programme by National Environment Agency in 2013 and 2014 respectively.

Members as well as volunteers for specific projects develop both knowledge of the physical environment, environment conservation and skills in the project planning and implementation of initiatives.

Some of the possible avenues for personal development and enrichment are as follows:
